MarkAudio Sota got in touch to tell us all about their new loudspeaker that they are exhibiting at the North West Audio Show.
They told us: “Viotti Tower is our flagship 2-way utilising custom all-range symmetric driver technology to create a full range loudspeaker. A minimalist control network complements the custom drivers, delivering music to the listeners while minimizing artificial processing. Laminated dual-core panels and polymers provide enclosures of maximum strength and acoustic stability”.
Viotti Tower uses custom high-performance driver units; the custom built Sota 11 x 3 pcs and Sota 5 x 2 pcs. Designed by Mark Fenlon, the British engineer who created the internationally acclaimed Alpair product range, they are true wide-range drivers. Both can reproduce bass notes, and have high frequency extension beyond the upper limit of human hearing.
Viotti Tower was styled by Andrea Ponti, an Italian designer who works extensively in Europe and Japan. Andrea’s concept for Viotti Tower is an evolution of the Viotti One, which blends the fluid curves of 1950s modernism with cutting-edge wraps for an elegant, minimalist look. Viotti Tower is available in two luxurious lacquer finishes: light oak, black piano-lacquer. These are true lacquer finishes, with seven hand flatted and polished layers for a deep shine.
